Teachers


Classes are taught by the Director of Pacific Fencing Club, Harold Hayes, whose credentials are as follows:

B.A., Philosophy: Stanford University

M.A., History of Consciousness: University of California, Santa Cruz

Military Provost at Arms: San Jose State University R.O.T.C.

Master of Arms: International Academy of Arms; U.S. Fencing Coaches Association; and Selberg Fencing Academy.

Maestro Hayes has attended the U.S. Fencing Association Coaches College and International Coaching Symposia at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. As a competitive fencer, he has been twice gold, once silver, and three times bronze medallist in the U.S. National Championships, and a gold medallist in the Nike World Masters Games. He has competed in Europe on U.S. national teams, in the F.I.E. Veteran World Championships, and in the International Academy of Arms World Championships for Fencing Masters.

Maestro Hayes is assisted in teaching by his advanced students.
